11 Best Places To Eat In The Hamptons

My wife and I lived in the Hamptons for over a year and like to think of ourselves as avid foodies. We have both been working in restaurants for over 10 years and love to go and experience a new restaurant to see what they can bring to the table.

  1. East Hampton Grill, East Hampton – Make a reservation! This place has some of the best food in the Hamptons and has regulars such as Jerry Seinfeld and Hugh Jackman. Try the famous Grilled Artichokes (if in season), Bone in Ribeye and top it all off with the “Best Chocolate Sundae Ever Invented By Anyone.”
  1. Scarpetta Beach, Montauk – This restaurant is beautiful so either go early or make a reservation, sit on the patio! Try the Short Rib Agnolotti/ Spaghetti or just ask what is good, get a bottle of “nice wine” and really enjoy this culinary experience!
  1. Bostwick’s Chowder House – Clam chowder and lobster rolls! This place has been around forever and is always packed, try anything that looks good.
  1. Beacon, Sag Harbor – Italian Seafood? Yes please. Reserve a table on the second story patio overlooking the harbor! Try the Steamed Muscles “Beacon Style” W/ Garlic, White Wine , Lemon Thyme, Cream & Tomatoes or try the Oven Roasted Chicken W/ Smoked Bacon-Pecorino Risotto.
  1. Goldberg’s Famous Bagels & Deli – Best Bagels in town! There is one in almost every town in the Hamptons, it’s a perfect place for a midday bagel sandwich after a long night of fun.
  1. Harvest on Fort Pond, Montauk – This is Montauk’s patio sunset perfection, grab a bottle of wine and some dinner and enjoy yourself. Reserve a table!
  1. Sunset Beach Hotel, Shutter Island – Get a spot on the rooftop patio, it’s called Sunset Beach for a good reason. The trip to Shutter Island is worth it!
  1. Nick and Toni’s – The cocktails here are out of this world and the staff is great, make a reservation.
  1. Hampton Chutney Co – Great lunch spot where lots of locals frequent, the food is heavily spiced so beware if not a fan of Indian cuisine.
  1.  Sen, Sag Harbor – Two words “Happy Hour.” This place has excellent cocktails and great sushi, located on the strip of shops and restaurants.

  1. Bamboo, Southampton – Huge patio that overlooks Agawam Lake. Great Asian cuisine, the dumplings are outstanding and if you like sushi, check this place out!
